Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to Bidayat: Journal of Islamic Law should follow the guidelines below to ensure consistency and academic quality in the publication process.

General Requirements

  1. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal.
  2. Articles should be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia using academic language standards.
  3. Manuscripts must relate to the field of Islamic Law and align with the journal’s focus and scope.
  4. The manuscript file should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format through the journal submission system.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should contain the following components:

  • Title
  • Author(s) Name and Affiliation
  • Abstract (150–250 words)
  • Keywords (3–5 keywords)
  • Introduction
  • Research Method
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References

Formatting Guidelines

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12 pt
  • Spacing: 1.5
  • Paper Size: A4
  • Margin: 2.5 cm on all sides
  • Length: Approximately 5000–8000 words

Title and Abstract

  • The title should be concise, informative, and reflect the substance of the article.
  • Abstracts must clearly state the research objectives, methods, findings, and conclusions.
  • Keywords should represent important concepts discussed in the manuscript.

Citation and References

  1. The journal uses the APA citation style (7th Edition).
  2. References should primarily consist of recent scholarly sources such as journal articles, books, and reputable academic publications.
  3. Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

Tables, Figures, and Illustrations

  • Tables and figures must be numbered sequentially.
  • Each table or figure should include a clear title and source (if applicable).
  • Images should have good resolution and support the discussion.

Ethical Considerations

Authors must ensure that:

  • The manuscript is free from plagiarism and unethical content.
  • All sources are properly cited.
  • Research involving human participants follows ethical research standards.
  • Any conflict of interest is disclosed clearly.

Review and Revision Process

All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors are required to revise manuscripts based on reviewer and editor comments within the specified deadline.
