Reviewer Guidelines

Amali: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Pendidikan highly appreciates the contribution of reviewers in maintaining the quality, credibility, and academic integrity of the journal. Reviewers are expected to conduct objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts.

The following guidelines are provided for reviewers:

1. Responsibility of Reviewers

Reviewers are responsible for assessing the scientific quality, originality, clarity, and relevance of manuscripts according to the journal’s focus and scope. Reviewers should provide fair, professional, and constructive feedback to assist authors in improving their manuscripts.

2. Confidentiality

All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, or use unpublished materials from the manuscript for personal benefit.

3. Objectivity and Constructive Feedback

Reviews should be conducted objectively and respectfully. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers are encouraged to provide clear comments, suggestions, and recommendations that can help improve the manuscript quality.

4. Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts based on the following aspects:

  • Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope
  • Originality and novelty of the study or program
  • Clarity of objectives and research/community service methods
  • Quality of analysis and discussion
  • Contribution to education and community development
  • Organization and clarity of writing
  • Adequacy and relevance of references
  • Ethical considerations and academic integrity

5. Recommendation Categories

At the end of the review process, reviewers are requested to provide one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept without revision
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Accept with major revisions
  • Reject

6. Timeliness

Reviewers are expected to complete the review process within the time specified by the editorial team. If reviewers are unable to review the manuscript within the deadline, they should promptly inform the editor.

7. Conflict of Interest

Reviewers should decline the review process if they have any conflict of interest related to the author, institution, or research/project discussed in the manuscript.

8. Ethical Considerations

Reviewers should identify any ethical issues, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, or unethical practices. Any suspected misconduct should be reported to the editor immediately.

9. Reviewer Comments

Reviewers are encouraged to provide:

  • General comments regarding the overall quality of the manuscript
  • Specific comments on particular sections of the manuscript
  • Suggestions for improvement, including references if necessary
