Author Guidelines

Amali: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Pendidikan welcomes the submission of original manuscripts related to community service, education, social empowerment, and interdisciplinary studies. Authors are encouraged to follow the guidelines below to ensure consistency and quality in the publication process.

1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by other journals.
  • Articles may be written in English or Indonesian.
  • Manuscripts should be relevant to the journal’s focus and scope.
  • Authors must ensure the manuscript is free from plagiarism and unethical publication practices.

2. Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts:

  • Community service reports
  • Research-based community engagement articles
  • Conceptual or theoretical articles
  • Best practice articles
  • Case studies related to education and community empowerment

3. Manuscript Format

Authors should prepare manuscripts using the following format:

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Paper size: A4
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt
  • Spacing: 1.5 spacing
  • Margin: 2.5 cm on all sides
  • Length: Approximately 5,000–8,000 words, including references

4. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should contain the following sections:

a. Title

  • Concise, informative, and reflecting the content of the article
  • Maximum 15–20 words

b. Author Information

  • Full name(s) of author(s)
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Email address of corresponding author

c. Abstract

  • Written in English and Indonesian
  • Approximately 150–250 words
  • Contains background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions

d. Keywords

  • Consist of 3–5 keywords
  • Written alphabetically

e. Introduction

  • Background of the study or community service activity
  • Problem statement
  • Objectives and significance of the article

f. Methods

  • Description of methods, approaches, participants, instruments, and implementation procedures

g. Results and Discussion

  • Presentation of findings and analysis
  • Discussion supported by relevant theories and previous studies

h. Conclusion

  • Main findings and implications
  • Recommendations for future activities or studies

i. References

  • References should primarily consist of recent scholarly sources
  • Use reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero
  • Citation and bibliography style should follow APA Style (7th Edition)

5. Tables, Figures, and Illustrations

  • Tables and figures must be clearly labeled and numbered consecutively.
  • Authors must provide proper sources for borrowed images, figures, or data.

6. Citation and Reference Style

  • The journal uses APA Style (7th Edition).
  • Authors are encouraged to cite relevant and recent journal articles.

7. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.
  • Authors are required to complete all metadata during submission.
  • The editorial team will acknowledge receipt of the manuscript.

8. Peer Review Process

  • All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.
  • Authors may be asked to revise the manuscript based on reviewers’ comments.

9. Publication Ethics

Authors must comply with publication ethics standards, including:

  • Avoiding plagiarism, data fabrication, and duplicate publication
  • Acknowledging all sources appropriately
  • Declaring conflicts of interest if any

10. Copyright and Open Access

Published articles are openly accessible to readers to support the dissemination of knowledge and community development. Authors retain copyright of their work while granting publication rights to the journal.
