Peer Review Process

Amali: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Pendidikan implements a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of every published manuscript. All submitted manuscripts undergo a single-blind peer review process, in which both the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process.

The peer review process consists of the following stages:

  1. Initial Submission
Authors submit manuscripts through the journal submission system in accordance with the journal’s author guidelines and template.
  2. Editorial Screening
The editorial team conducts an initial evaluation to assess the suitability of the manuscript with the journal’s focus and scope, writing format, originality, and compliance with publication ethics. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be rejected or returned for revision before review.
  3. Plagiarism Check
All manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality. Manuscripts with a high similarity index or indications of plagiarism will be rejected.
  4. Reviewer Assignment
Eligible manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who have expertise relevant to the topic of the manuscript.
  5. Single-Blind Peer Review
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, significance, methodology, clarity of presentation, theoretical contribution, practical relevance, and references used. Reviewers provide recommendations categorized as:
    • Accepted without revision
    • Accepted with minor revisions
    • Accepted with major revisions
    • Rejected
  6. Revision Process
Authors are required to revise the manuscript based on reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.
  7. Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection based on reviewers’ recommendations and editorial considerations.
  8. Copyediting and Proofreading
Accepted manuscripts undergo copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading to ensure linguistic quality and consistency before publication.
  9. Publication
The final version of the manuscript is published online according to the journal publication schedule.

The entire peer review process is conducted professionally, transparently, and ethically to maintain the academic quality and credibility of the journal.
