Every manuscript submitted to Al-Qiyadah: Journal of Contemporary Islamic Management and Leadership undergoes a rigorous peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope. The journal applies a single-blind peer review system in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.

The review process consists of the following stages:

1. Manuscript Submission
   Authors submit manuscripts through the journal submission system in accordance with the author guidelines and journal template.
2. Initial Editorial Screening
   The editorial team evaluates the manuscript to ensure its suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, writing format, academic quality, and plagiarism standards. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be rejected or returned for revision before peer review.
3. Plagiarism Check
   All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality and academic integrity. Manuscripts with a high level of similarity will be rejected or returned to the authors for clarification and correction.
4. Double-Blind Peer Review
   Eligible manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript topic. Reviewers assess the originality, methodology, theoretical contribution, clarity of analysis, significance of findings, and relevance to Islamic management and leadership studies.
5. Review Decision
   Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
   • Accepted without revision
   • Accepted with minor revisions
   • Accepted with major revisions
   • Resubmit for review
   • Rejected
6. Revision Process
   Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified time. Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.
7. Final Decision and Editing
   After the manuscript is accepted, it undergoes copyediting, proofreading, layout editing, and final editorial review before publication.
8. Publication
   Accepted articles are published online and made accessible to readers according to the journal publication schedule.
