Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts to Al-Qiyadah: Journal of Contemporary Islamic Management and Leadership. Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication in other journals. All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.

General Requirements

  1. Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English or Indonesian.
  2. The manuscript should be original, research-based, and relevant to the journal’s focus and scope.
  3. Manuscripts may take the form of:
    • Research articles
    • Conceptual articles
    • Literature reviews
    • Case studies
  4. The manuscript file should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
  5. Authors must ensure that the manuscript is free from plagiarism. The maximum similarity index allowed is 25%.
  6. Manuscripts should contain approximately 4000–8000 words, including references, tables, and appendices.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be arranged in the following order:

1. Title

  • Concise, informative, and reflective of the article content.
  • Maximum 15–20 words.

2. Author Information

  • Full name(s) of author(s)
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Email address
  • ORCID ID (optional)

3. Abstract

  • Written in English and/or Indonesian
  • Approximately 150–250 words
  • Must include:
    • Background
    • Objective
    • Method
    • Findings
    • Conclusion

4. Keywords

  • 3–5 keywords
  • Separated by semicolons (;)

5. Introduction

The introduction should contain:

  • Research background
  • Research problems
  • Literature review
  • Research gap
  • Objectives and significance of the study

6. Method

This section should explain:

  • Research approach and design
  • Data sources
  • Data collection techniques
  • Data analysis procedures

7. Results and Discussion

  • Present research findings clearly and systematically
  • Discuss findings critically using relevant theories and previous studies

8. Conclusion

  • Summarize the main findings
  • Provide implications and recommendations

9. References

  • Use recent and relevant references
  • Minimum 15 references for research articles
  • At least 70% of references should come from scholarly journals published within the last 10 years
  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero

Citation Style

The journal uses APA Style (7th Edition) for citations and references.

Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively
  • Provide clear titles and sources if applicable
  • Use editable formats, not images for tables

Publication Ethics

Authors must:

  • Ensure originality of the manuscript
  • Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, and duplicate publication
  • Acknowledge all cited sources properly
  • Disclose conflicts of interest if any

Submission Process

Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors must register before submitting manuscripts.

Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo:

  1. Initial editorial screening
  2. Plagiarism checking
  3. Double-blind peer review
  4. Revision and final editorial decision

Copyright and Open Access

Published articles are open access and freely available to readers. Authors retain copyright while granting the journal the right of first publication.
