Abstrak

This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to explore the efforts of Islamic religious teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Abung Barat in overcoming students' difficulties in reading the Qur'an in the 2022/2023 academic year. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation studies related to the learning process. The results of the study indicate that teachers have implemented various learning methods, routine habits, utilization of technology, and personal guidance to improve students' abilities. However, students' difficulties are influenced by internal factors such as mastery of makhrojul huruf and understanding of tajwid laws, as well as external factors such as limited access to learning aids and learning time. Supporting factors include teacher competence and availability of aids, while inhibiting factors include limited time, number of students, and lack of motivation. Collaboration between teachers, students, parents, and the community is essential to creating an effective learning environment
