From an Islamic perspective, corruption is viewed as a reprehensible act that contradicts the principles of justice, trustworthiness, and the public good. This study aims to analyze the concepts of Ghulul and Risywah in Islam, examine the ethics of Islamic leadership as a preventive measure against corruption, and identify anti-corruption values in the Qur'an and Hadith. This study used a qualitative method with a library research approach. The results show that Ghulul and Risywah are forms of betrayal of trustworthiness and are considered haram in Islam. Islam emphasizes the values of honesty (shidq), trustworthiness, justice ('adl), and responsibility (Mas’uliyah) as the foundation for preventing corruption. Thus, the comprehensive internalization of Islamic values can be a strategic solution in preventing and eradicating corruption.
2026-02-24T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 al-Qiyadah: Journal of Contemporary Islamic Management and Leadership
